JUZEN Chemical corporation brings an International Exchange Event with Foreign Students from the University of Toyama .

JUZEN Chemical corporation (Location: Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture; President & CEO: Daisuke Hirota), a company engaged in the contract manufacturing and research of pharmaceuticals and bulk pharmaceuticals, is pleased to report that it held an English-language social event in the cafeteria of its headquarters building, inviting international students from the University of Toyama.

JUZEN Chemical Corporation, which aims to expand its business globally, has been conducting English education within the company since last year to improve the English language skills of its employees.


As part of this program, we invited international students from the University of Toyama and held an exchange event in English.


The purpose of this event was to provide an opportunity for employees of JUZEN to speak English, and for the University of Toyama to provide an opportunity for foreign students to experience the culture of other countries and Japanese companies.

Three sessions were held with the following content.


First session (May 25): Company profile presentation from JUZEN Chemical Corporation, followed by Q&A


Second session (June 15): Toyama University students gave a presentation introducing their home countries, followed by Q&A


Third session (July 6): Divided into four groups, each group conducted group work on their favorite foods and tourist attractions in Japan, etc., and made presentations.


The conversation in English, which was difficult to get used to at first, became more and more lively as the sessions went on.

Participants said, "I had never had a chance to talk with foreign students before, so this was a valuable experience for me," and "It was a very valuable experience for me to experience the joy of communicating in English and being able to communicate in English.


JUZEN Chemical Corporation will continue to work with local schools to provide regular opportunities for international exchange and learning.
